The 28-year-old marked his debut for six-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Enyimba FC on Wednesday, in a 1-1 draw with the Blue Angels.

I thank God. I am really happy to be back, Kaita told supersport.com. I am happy with my debut.

Kaita added: My teammates worked hard (for the point). The team played well. I thank the coaches for the confidence they showed in me.

The draw couldnt deter coach Gbenga Ogungbotes men from retaining the pole position of the Nigeria league, but the experienced midfielder does not expect the Port-Harcourt-based side to deal with the title run-in pressure when the finally surfaces.

I think they (Sharks) have a good team but I dont think they are strong enough to win the title. For one, I believe Enyimba is better than the Sharks team we played against yesterday (Wednesday), he said.

Guardiola Proud of His First Season in Munich, Ready for the Beer Shower

Posted by: Omaku Cephas on May 9, 2014

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola says he’s proud of his first season in Germany after guiding the club to their 24th Bundesliga title.

The Spaniard, who succeeded Jupp Heynckes at the end of last season, helped the Bavarians retain the German League title- their fifth in five years. They however failed to clinch a treble of honours like in the previous season, as they were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in the last-four.

Bayern won this season’s German championship on 25th March in record time. Guardiola insists domestic success had been his main goal all long.

Pep Guardiola and His Bayern Munich Players Celebrates Bundesliga Title.

“I’m happy and very proud of the whole club this season,” Guardiola said. “Maybe for some people it’s just another Bundesliga title but for me it’s my first one.

“It’s the most important title this term.

“Winning your domestic league is always the best title because you have to play week after week.”

The former Barcelona boss says he was ready for the traditional beer shower later on Friday, on the eve of his side’s final match of the season, to celebrate their triumph.

Last season, French midfielder Franck Ribery was infuriated by his teammates’ actions, after he was drenched with a glass of beer during their title celebration.

“I know it’s a big tradition and I like traditions. If the players want to do it, they can do it. In any case, I don’t have any hair!” Guardiola stressed.

Bayern finishes their 2013/14 season with a home match against Stuttgart this weekend and Guardiola revealed Holger Badstuber may play some part in the game after recovering from two serious knee injuries.

“We’re very happy that Badstuber has trained with us again,” he added. “I won’t take any risks with him.

“He might be on the bench.”

Shorunmu Tips Enyeama to Shine in Brazil

Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer, Ike Shorunmu has tipped the teams goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama for success at the forthcoming World Cup in Brazil.

Shorunmu, who was Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper at the 2002 Japan/South Korea World Cup said that he believes in Enyeama making the nation proud in Brazil and lauded his nomination for best goalkeeper award in the French Ligue 1.

What can we say than to thank God for helping Vincent Enyeama attain such feat. Not so many goalkeepers have had the opportunity of being nominated for this special award and I think it is a good omen for Nigerian football considering the fact that the World Cup is just few days to go and this will further motivate him to perform more better.

Vincent Enyeama Fends Off Javier Hernandezs Threat During Nigeria-Mexico Friendly Match.

On whether he is satisfied with the four goalkeepers in Stephen Keshis provisional list for the World Cup, Shorunmu revealed that they were the best hands as far as goalkeeping is concerned.

I am satisfied with the list. For as long as the Super Eagles list have been released for Nigerians to see, I dont think there is any issue more to discuss. Exactly. In the course of our preparation for the World Cup qualifying games, we have been able to access these goalkeepers properly and know their strong and weak points. The four goalkeepers selected are good enough for the job.

Enyeama has been massive for his club Lille, leading the team to its current third placing on the log, as well as keeping 21 clean sheets this season.

The awards, run by the Professional Union of French Players (UNFP), will be held on May 11, just a week before the French Championships winds up.
